30+ Years of Transforming Lives Across Ethiopia
Education, clean water, healthcare, and opportunity for Ethiopia's most vulnerable children and families.

Our Story
Founded by Volunteers. Grown Into an Institution.
Resurrection and Life Development Organization (RLDO) was founded by three volunteer members of the Resurrection and Life Church to help orphaned children and disadvantaged elderly people with nowhere else to turn. Since fully transitioning to development work in 1998, RLDO has built a credible, professional track record across education, health, water, livelihoods, and urban development — always in direct partnership with the communities it serves.
Today, RLDO is registered with Ethiopia's Agency for Civil Society Organizations and is a member of CCRDA and GHARA, guided by a General Assembly, Board of Management, and a program team of 31 staff led by the Executive Director.

In Their Words
Voices From the Community
Real stories from the people RLDO works alongside.
“I joined RLDO's center when I was seven. I scored 97% on the regional grade-8 exam and won a scholarship to Furra Model Academy. Now I'm working toward becoming a doctor.”
“I trained in hairdressing through RLDO's program. Today I run my own salon and a small shop, and I support myself — bye, bye poverty.”
